A very handsome issue with ornate lettering in the masthead makes is nice for display.
Most of pages 1 and 2 and half of page 4 are taken up with reports from the House of Commons, with much of the discussion focused on the situation in American and how to negotiate a peace.
A few bits include: "...the articles which the present ministry subscribed to...which were five..The five articles were:..." and they are listed, the first noting: "That the independency of America should be made the basis of all negociation for a peace." and then the others. And then also: "...That independence to the thirteen States of North America was to be the basis of all our negociations with them. That they were to be treated as independent in the very mode of carrying on these negociations..." with much more.
Some interesting observations on the discussions which would result in a treaty of peace ending the Revolutionary War.
Page 3 has a letter form London which begins: "Peace seems to be at as great a distance now as ever...both Dutch and French seem as obstinately bent on the prosecution of war as ever...".
Four pages, very nice condition.
