THE LONDON EVENING POST, England, Oct. 14, 1777

Page 3 has a report from Albany noting: "...that Major Yates...has abandoned Fort George...Part of the enemy still remain at Skeensborough...General Nixon with about 1000 men, lies at & about Fort Ann...Gen. Schuyler continues his head quarters at Fort Edward..." and much more.
Then reports from Congress giving praise for the actions of Lt. Col. Meigs, and Lt. Col. Barton. Another item has: "Mr. Washington, with his army, we hear is encamped on the Heights between New Germantown and the river Schuylkill...".
Other reports note the action near Staten Island. Other war-related items shown in the photos.
Four pages, folio size, never-trimmed margins, red tax stamp on page 3. An upper corner missing affects a few words, not part of noted content. Nice condition.
