The front page begins a letter from then Secretary of State James Monroe, continued on page two and signed in block type: JAMES MONROE.  The back page has a business ad for "Goodwin and Dodd," which offers "A large assortment of English and French Watches" - plus tools for clock and watchmaking and includes small woodcuts of pocket-watches & a larger one of an anniversary clock. Other interesting notices and advertisements concern the sale of cotton, disbursement of estates, and reports of international affairs.
Complete in 4 pages, good condition with only traces of foxing.
