November 30, 1776

THE LONDON EVENING POST, England, Nov. 30, 1776  The front page has a bit noting: "...he sailed from Sandy Hook...heard a continued fire of great guns...left Sandy Hook under convoy of the Flora frigate...20 transports...for the use of the troops at New York...that every think was ready for the attack on King's Bridge before he sailed."
The back page has an editorial type letter noting in part: "...The road that leads to the subjugation of the Colonies lies through many a dirty lane--the military wheel has already stuck in the mire..." with more on this analogy.
Four pages, never-trimmed margins, red tax stamp on page 3, nice condition.
