The back page begins with a letter: "To the Merchants, Manufacturers, & Others Affected by the American War" which is a plea to end the war. It contains: "To petition our superiors for redress, or to reason with them is in vain. They are only to be influenced by their fears...I do not mean to excite to arms or insurrections, but I would advise you every where to instruct your representatives to join in an address to the throne for peace with America..." and more.
Four pages, folio size, never-trimmed margins, red tax stamp on page 3, good condition.
