Through research of this movie, the release date for this movie in the United States was on May 1, 1941 with the first showing to be at the Palace Theater in New York City. This was the opening day (May 6) in the Midwest. The movie 'Citizen Kane' consistently ranks at the top of most polls of the top movies of all time.
