The tragic Hartford circus fire...

Item # 658494

July 7, 1944

CHICAGO DAILY TRIBUNE, July 7, 1944

* Hartford circus fire
* The day the clowns cried
* Nice for display

The bold banner headline announces one of the biggest disasters in American history: "CIRCUS FIRE! 135 DEAD" with subheads that include: "BLAZING CANVAS FALLS, TRAPS CROWD OF 7,000" and more. Great for display. A great full back page pictorial is also nice for display. This is one of the best issues that we have seen for this particular event.
Complete with all 28 pages, light toning at the margins, small library stamp within the masthead, small binding holes along the spine, generally nice.
