THE MASSACHUSETTS CENTINEL, Boston Feb. 14, 1789

* Giving thought to the Bill of Rights
* 18th century original reading

A page 2 item from Charleston notes: "...the House of Representatives, after debate, agreed to proceed on Thursday...to take into consideration papers received from the states of Mass., New York, Va., and N. Carolina relative to proposed alterations in the federal Constitution...".
Page 3 includes some political issues from this interesting era between the creation of the federal Constitution and the election of the first President (to happen 3 weeks later).
Four pages, archival repair at the bottom of the spine, bit close-trimmed to an unrelated column of pg. 2, otherwise good condition.
