Page 2 of the sport's section (inside) has a somewhat discrete report which begins with : "The highly touted Mickey Mantle, brilliant 18-year-old shortstop prospect...." See photo for complete text here. He would make his debut with the Yankees at the start of the 1951 baseball season.
