DAILY ROCK MOUNTAIN NEWS, Denver, Colorado, July 6, 1876

* General George Custer massacre
* Battle of the Little Bighorn - Montana
* Chief Sitting Bull - Lakota Indians

The top of the front page has nice one column heads on perhaps the most famous Indian battle in American history: "Reported Victory for the Indians" "Gen. Custer and 300 Troops Said to be Killed" "Indian Matters".
Text includes in part: "...Wiggins Taylor, a scout for General Gibbon, got here last night direct from Little Horn River. Gen. Custer found the Indian camp of about 2,000 lodges on Little Horn & immediately attacked them...The Indians poured in a murderous fire from all directions...Custer, his two brothers, nephew and brother-in-law are all killed...The whole of Custer's force died at the head of their column..." with more. And this is followed by: "Another Account".
Complete in 4 pages, there are many tape repairs throughout none of which affect this article nor do any cause loss of readability, but they are somewhat distracting.
