May 20, 1927
NEW YORK JOURNAL, May 20, 1927
* Charles Lindbergh's famous flight
* On his way to Paris solo
* FRONT LEAF ONLY ***
As uneventful as it seems today, Charles Lindbergh's solo flight across the Atlantic in 1927 made him the sensation of the decade. Newspapers around the world heralded his accomplishment and in France, where he landed, he was lauded as a hero. The banner headline announces: "LINDBERGH OFF: SEEN OVER MASS." with subheads and 3 related photos. (see)
This is the front leaf only (pages 1 & 2), some archival mending at the folds on the back side with a little loss, a few small margin tears, great for display as such. Should be handled with care.
