DAILY NATIONAL INTELLIGENCER, Washington, D.C., Nov. 21, 1849

* One of the Mormon 'Three Witnesses' recants church teachings

At the bottom of page 3 is a very notable report concerning one of the Three Witnesses of the Mormon Church, with a small head: "A Mormon Apostle".
This is concerning Martin Harris: "...who was concerned with Joe Smith in originally proclaiming the Mormon faith. He wrote the book of Mormon from Joe Smith's dictation...He abandoned them 15 years ago when they assumed the appellation of 'Latter-Day Saints' & bore his testimony against them by declaring that 'Latter Day Devils' would be a more appropriate designation..." with more. Small printing error at the last sentence affects 3 words.
Page 3 also has: "Extraordinary Discovery In California"  concerning the Gold Rush of 1849, and also: "A Slave Case".
Four pages, very nice condition.
