EDINBURGH EVENING COURANT, Scotland, Sept. 29, 1746  The front page has a report from America on King George's War: "...reported from Cape Breton, the accounts from New-England advising that the soldiers of that province, who were at the expedition against Cape Breton, were returned,,,that most of the Americans were come away except such as have been listed by the Governor Sir William Pepperel." Cape Breton is in Nova Scotia.
Page 2 has additional reports from America on the war.
Inside also has much concerning trials for those involved in the Jacobite Rebellion, including a: "List of Such of the Rebel Prisoners as Were Sentenced on Monday, Sept. 22d".
Most of page 3 is taken up with a terrific and very detailed account of the Battle of Littleferry, which occurred just prior to the Battle of Culloden, also a victory for the British forces over the Jacobites.
Four pages, 8 by 10 inches, red tax stamp on the front page, very nice condition.
