Lindbergh flies the Atlantic... 1st report...

Item # 657273

May 22, 1927

BRIDGEPORT SUNDAY POST, Conn., May 22, 1927

* 1st report on Lindbergh's famous flight
* He lands in Paris, France
* FRONT LEAF ONLY ***

As uneventful as it seems today, Charles Lindbergh's solo flight across the Atlantic in 1927 made him the sensation of the decade. Newspapers around the world heralded his accomplishment and in France, where he landed, he was lauded as a hero. The banner headline announces: "LINDBERGH FLIES FROM NEW YORK TO PARIS IN 33 1-2 HOURS" with subheads and photo of Lindbergh. (see)
This is the front leaf only (pages 1 & 2), some archival mending at the folds on the back side with a hole near the center (see), nice for display as such.
