Early automobiles - dedicated to the autos of the day...

Item # 656989

January 16, 1909

SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN--"Automobile Number", New York, Jan. 16, 1909 (does not include the color outer wrappers)

The entire issue focuses on the automobile industry with many photos and ads which are also largely automobile-themed. The front page has, "Automobile Curiosities," with inside coverage which includes: "The Commercial Truck vs. the Horse," "Our Legion Tires and Their Troubles," "The Two-Cycle Automobile Motor," and the nice double-page centerfold: "THE CARS OF 1909 -- BIG AND LITTLE." Additional related ads, articles, and images are present as well.

This is a complete issue (excluding the color wrapper), has a slightly rough lower margin on the centerfold, but is otherwise in good condition.
