The front page begins with a report noting: "This last week went hence several vessels homewards bound, most of them from France, and one from Virginia, belonging to the New England bound for London laden with Tobacco...". Very early mention of an American colony in a newspaper.
A very early issue, this newspaper having begun in 1665 (and still prints today).
Complete as a single sheet issue, 6 3/4 by 11 1/4 inches, some dirtiness to the top quadrant, good condition.
