CHICAGO DAILY TRIBUNE, October 24, 1934

* Philip K. Wrigley named president
* Chicago Cubs - MLB baseball
* Best title to be has - rare as such

A great sports page headline for a Chicago newspaper: "WRIGLEY TO BE CUB PRESIDENT: WALKER OUT" with a subhead: "Sale Of Stock Eliminates 2d Largest Holder". The report announces the immediate resignation of the-president W. M. Walker and the sale of his stock in the Cubs. P.K. Wrigley--son of the chewing gum founder Wm. Wrigley (who died 2 years previous), would become president of the Cubs. The articles includes photos of both P.K. Wrigley and William Walker.
This is the complete 12 page sports section which has its own masthead and dateline. This is the "rag edition" printed on very high quality newsprint meant for institutional holdings. In great condition as such, 4 small binding holes at the blank spine.
