May 08, 1937

NEW YORK WORLD-TELEGRAM, May 8, 1937

* Hindenburg rigid airship disaster
* Pride of Nazi Germany
* Lakehurst, New Jersey photos

The banner headline concerns the follow-up investigation into the Hindenburg crash: "INQUIRY HUNTS CLEW TO SABOTAGE" with subheads: "Navy Launches Investigation; Deaths At 35" "Mother Tells of Throwing Children from Hindenburg".
But even more dramatic are the reports and several large photos on pages 2 and 3 with 2 banner headlines: "Fall of the Dirigible Hindenburg and the Rise of Her Successor, LZ130" and: "Why the Spark That Turned The Hindenburg Into This Junk Pile?"
Complete issue with all sections including the rotogravure and the color comic section. Small binding holes at the blank spine, light toning at the margins, generally nice.
