The front page has several items relating to the Civil War including: "The Fate of Tyrants" "The Prisoners" "The Manufacture of American Salt in Case of War" "The Fifth Virginia Regiment in the Battle of Manassas" "Execution of Thos. J. Armstrong in Philadelphia" & a few smaller items. There are also two illustrated runaway reward ads for slaves.
Among the items on the inside pages are: "Bennett Upon the 'Rebel Congress' Raising the Wind" "Looking Ahead" "Holmes' Brigade" "Lieut. Col. Taliaferre's Late Command" ""Commercial Independence" "The Great Battle in Missouri--Further Extracts from Northern Journals" which is on the Battle of Wilson's Creek, a Union defeat; "Major Walton's Official Report" and more. The back page has: "General Beauregard and Johnston" which takes one-third of a column.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, scattered foxing, generally good condition.
