August 28, 1963

THE RUSSELL DAILY NEWS, Kansas, August 28, 1963

* Martin Luther King Jr.
* March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom
* "I Have A Dream" speech fame

The  front page has three column heading concerning this historic Civil Rights March on Washington, D.C. with: "Over 200,000 Marchers Converge on Washington" It was at this march where Martin Luther King, Jr., gave his immortal "I have a dream..." speech (not included here). A rare same-day report of this significant event as most newspapers reported it on the 29th.
Complete with 6 pages, a few binding holes along the spine, small library stamp within the masthead, generally very nice.
