DAILY NATIONAL INTELLIGENCER, Washington, D.C., April 6, 1841

* President William H. Harrison
* Washington D.C. death - funeral

Page 3 contains various reports concerning the death & funeral of President William Henry Harrison. It begins with a note only to be found in a Washington newspaper: "We are requested to give notice that the public offices will be closed & the works on the public buildings in this city suspended until Thursday morning next."
An item from the War Dept. has: "Official" "It is with feelings of the deepest sorrow that the Sec. of War announces to the Army the death of the President of the United States. William Henry Harrison is no more..." & much more. Then a similar announcement from the Navy Dept.
Taking most of a column is: "Arrangements For the Interment of the Late President" showing the "Order of Procession" including a crude diagram with the position of t the "funeral car with the corpse" and the pall bears, etc.
Great to have this content in this famous newspaper from the nation's capital.
Four pages, very nice condition.
