THE WEEKLY REGISTER, Baltimore, Dec. 18, 1813  Among the articles are: "Maria Louisa Bonaparte". Also there are 6 pages taken up with: "Events of the War" with much news on the on-going War of 1812. Among the subheads and items are: "Arts of the Enemy" "Maritime Power"; a letter signed in type: Oliver H. Perry concerning the  Battle of Lake Erie (see); "Blockade of the Sound" "Military--Third Victory over the Allies in the South"; a lengthy letter from General Boyd concerning the Battle of Williamsburgh; a letter signed in type: Andrew Jackson, headed: "Second Victory Over The Creeks"; a letter form Capt. David Porter from on board the frigate Essex; "The Destiny of the Creeks", and so much more.
Complete in 16 pages, 6 1/4 by 9 3/4 inches, very good condition.

This small size newspaper began in 1811 and was a prime source for national political news of the first half of the 19th century. As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
