FRANK LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED, New York, May 24, 1862  The ftpg. has two Civil War scenes: "Capture of Fort Macon..." and: "The End of the Merrimac--Destruction of the Rebel Ironclad Steamer Merrimac...".
A wealth of other war-related prints inside including 4 view of "Baton Rouge"; a centerfold showing: "A Panoramic View of New Orleans"; 4 prints of: "The War In Virginia" & more.
Included also is the: "WAR SUPPLEMENT' issue of the same date with a war-themed masthead & ftpg. showing: "The War on the Lower Mississippi"; a centerfold with 3 war scenes; and more. The four page foldout is in great condition, unusual in that more typically they were cut in half during the binding process. Rare to find as such!.
Complete in 32 pages, nice condition.
