March 10, 1862

DAILY RICHMOND EXAMINER, Virginia, March 10, 1862

* Rare rebel publication

A nice newspaper from the capital of the Confederacy. The front page is entirely taken up with ads and notices, many of which relate to the recruitment of soldiers or other war-related concerns.
Page 2 includes: "Movements & Spirit of the War" "Our Naval Victory" "From the Upper Potomac--Occupation of Martinsburg by General Banks--The Enemy in Force at Winchester" "The Surrender of Nashville" "The Confederate Navy" with more on page 3 including: "The Confederate Congress" "The Northern Congress" "Letter from an Officer in Floyd's Brigade" "Telegraphic News" & more. The bkpg. is filled with various governmental notices, most of which relate to the war.
Four pages, never bound nor trimmed, some minor margin wear, mostly quite nice.
