A nice newspaper from the capital of the Confederacy. Among the front page reports are those headed: "From Mecklenburg" "The Story of a Mormon Woman--Effects of Polygamy" "An Interesting Incident" and more including a large number of advertisements.
Page 2 includes: "Affairs In Kentucky" "From Norfolk" "a letter from Camp Bartow; "Local Matters" "Another Naval Engagement Near New Orleans" "Capture of a Yankee Merchantman" & more. War news carries over to page 3 with: "Affairs on the Peninsula--Designs of the Enemy" "Western Virginia" "Another Naval Engagement" "The Engagement Near Harper's Ferry" "Latest From Western Virginia--Withdrawal of Federal Troops" "Latest From the South--Operations of the Federals at Hatteras--The Late Fight near Harper's Ferry, etc." plus many subheads, this report taking four columns.
Complete in 4 pages with a banner masthead, very nice condition.
