THE DAILY SOUTH CAROLINIAN, Columbia, South Carolina, Feb. 23, 1864 Most of the front page is taken up with ads. Most of pages 2 & 3 are taken up with: "Important Action of Congress in Secret Session--Passage of the Currency, Tax, and Military Bills". Pg. 3 also has: "War News" & other item, plus a few ads. The back page is filled with ads.
This issue has much wear and various repairs. Complete in 4 pages, wide archival mends across the central folds of each page, and others as well. Various browning and other rubbing wear, some causing loss of readability. Some pencil notations at the top margins. A very rare title but compromised by the condition, so attractively priced.
