DAILY NATIONAL INTELLIGENCER, Washington, D.C., July 4, 1863

* Battle of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
* Most historic battle of the Civil War

Pages 2 & 3 have content reporting on the Battle of Gettysburg. Column heads include: "Latest from the Battle Field - Two More Battles" which includes two dispatches from General Meade. Also: "Unofficial Reports" and then: "The Fight Of Wednesday" & "A Fight at Carlisle".
Page 2 has a report: "The Removal of Gen. Hooker" which announces General Meade as his replacement (head partially shaved here: see). There is also: "The Late General Reynolds" who died in the first day of the Battle of Gettysburg.
Great to have this notable content in this famous newspaper from the nation's capital.
Four pages, nice condition.
