DAILY PACIFICAN--EXTRA, subtitled: "The Army Newspaper in the Western Pacific". Not dated in the masthead but the top of pg. 3 has August 15, 1945.

What could be a better & more dramatic front page this this one, and in a military newspaper no less? See the: "WAR OVER" which takes almost the entire front page of this tabloid-size newspaper. The only front page text is: "The White House has announced the war has ended. Japan has accepted the Allied demands in full."
Complete as a four page newspaper, very minor damp stain near the bottom of the left & right margins, otherwise quite nice.
