TOMBSTONE PROSPECTOR, Arizona, Aug. 5, 1889

* Very rare title
* Gunfight at the O.K. Corral fame

We have had a few other newspapers from the iconic Old West town of Tombstone, but this is the first we have seen this title. The masthead features a great engraving of a minor on a mule (see photos). Beyond the engraving in the masthead, there is much evidence of this being a mining town including a ftpg. article: "This Time Its Mica" concerning mining for it; several page 3 "Application For Patent" notices for various mines, plus saloon & corral ads, a rather large back pg. "Arizona Mail & Stage Co." ad (see), and pg. 2 has an interesting ad for the cure of drunkenness.
Four pages, a small piece from the bottom right margin affects a few words, several small margin tears & some archival mends inside, one non-archival mend on page 2. A fine opportunity for a very rare title from this famous town.
