NILES' WEEKLY REGISTER, Baltimore, April 18, 1829 Pages 1 & 2 has an article: "Decrease of Slaves in South Carolina" which is attributed to the tariff of 1824. Much detail.
Page 5 has: "Petroleum" which concerns the discovery of oil in Kentucky. Another page has a letter signed in type: George Washington & datelined at Mt. Vernon, Sept. 25, 1798, sent to President John Adams, in which he gives much praise to the attributes of Colonel (Alexander) Hamilton.
Sixteen pages,6 by 9 3/4 inches, very nice condition.
As noted in Wikipedia, this title: "...(was) one of the most widely-circulated magazines in the United States...Devoted primarily to politics...considered an important source for the history of the period."
