October 21, 1871

EVERY SATURDAY, Boston, Oct. 21, 1871  This issue has much on the Tammany Hall Ring, including a ftpg. print, a fullpg: "Early Morning in New York--Tammany Supporters at Work", a fullpg: "The Tammany Ring Doves, Empty Pockets..." and a two page spread: "The Tammany Oligarchy" with prints of the major 4, including one of: "William M. Tweed, Commissioner of the Dept. of Public Works"
But the prime piece of this issue would be the single sheet broadside on the Chicago Fire, headed: "Extra, Given Away  With Number 95 of EVERY SATURDAY" with text headed: "The Chicago Fire" and a large & detailed map captioned: "Map of Chicago Showing The Burnt District". This broadside is blank on the reverse.
The complete issue has some minor margin tears. The broadside has a bit of light foxing and a few very discrete archival mends on the reverse.
