July 21, 1934

THE NEW YORK TIMES, July 21, 1934

* Minneapolis General Strike of 1934
* Trucking companies - teamsters
* "Bloody Friday" - police shoot picketers

The top of the front page has a three column headline: "50 ARE SHOT IN MINNEAPOLIS AS POLICE FIRE ON STRIKERS; GAS ROUTS SEATTLE PICKETS" with many subheads. (see) Lengthy text continues on the next page.
Other news, sports and advertisements of the day. Complete in 26 pages, light toning and minor wear at the margins, generally nice.

wikipedia notes: On July 20, 1934, 68 were injured in a day of fighting during the Minneapolis general strike. Police fired into a mob of protestors when they attempted to block a delivery truck trying to leave the central market.
