Page 4 has a very inconspicuous report, without a heading, reading: "The gentleman known by the glorious title of "Billy the Kid", who has made life and the possession of it very uncertain in New Mexico for several years past has at last met his doom. Pat Garrett gets the reward for putting an end to his existence." (see)
The front page has reports on the condition of President Garfield (shot earlier in the month) and an article: "Outlaws Murder Indians" among other items.
