Page 2 has nearly 2 columns taken up with: "American News" with some bits including: "...letter from Lord George Germain...of which the following is an extract: I have received the King's commands to signify to you his Majesty's pleasures that you do acquaint Brig. General Arnold, Lt. Colonels Dundas & Simcoe...that their conduce & behaviour are approved of by his Majesty...". Also: "...informed that yesterday...about 1000 rebels in 50 whaleboats crossed the North River at Dobb's Ferry and landed near Col. Philips; a reconnoitering party of British & Hessians in number supposed about 200, fell in with them, killed nine..." and much more. Also a letter to Gov. Franklin at New Jersey "....from Lt. Col. Upham of the Associated Loyalists & Commandant at Lloyd's Neck, dated Fort Franklin..." concerning events there (see). From New York: "...learn from Albany that 1000 boars are constructing there & the troops in that country had been ordered down to join Mr. Washington's & the French Lt. General's army, and proceed to the attack of this city..." & more.
Four pages, a bit irregular at the right margin, good condition.
