This is the famous anti-slavery newspaper by famed abolitionist publisher William Lloyd Garrison. The masthead features two engravings, one of a slave auction and the other showing slaves being emancipated (see). Among the articles are: "The Army Not Abolition" "The Negroes & the Northern States" "Expulsion of the Colored Population" "Yorktown Evacuated by the Rebels" "Rebel Barbarities at Manassas" "A Philosophic Negro" "From the Army of Gen. Halleck" "Discussion on Slavery at Cincinnati"
