This newspaper features one of the larger & more decorative masthead engravings to be found in a colonial America newspaper.
Over half of the ftpg. is a fine letter concerning the growth of industry in Pennsylvania, beginning: "Every inhabitant of Pennsylvania must observe with pleasure the progress we make in this province towards perfection in useful arts, and the general encouragement that is given to genius and industry by all ranks of men...".
Page 3 has a letter from North Carolina which concerns the Regulators, and the War of Regulation. This is followed by a letter from Fort Chartres which was on the east bank of the Mississippi in present-day Illinois, concerning an encounter with Indians. And then there is another fine--and lengthy--letter concerning the Regulars of North Carolina, taking almost an entire column.
Four pages, slightly irregular at the spine, light foxing and a bit of very light damp staining, generally good.
