February 18, 1914

THE MEMPHIS PRESS, Tennessee, Feb. 18, 1914  Page 3 has an article on the famous Leo Frank murder trial headed: "Plan Long Fight For Leo Frank" beginning: "Attorneys for Leo M. Frank, superintendent of the National pencil factory, whose conviction for the murder of Mary Phagan, 14 year-old factory girl..." & more.
His trial, and lynching one year later, attracted national attention and became the focus of social, regional, political, and racial concerns, particularly regarding antisemitism. Today, the consensus of researchers on the subject holds that Frank was wrongly convicted.
Eight pages, loose at the spine, minor ftpg. fold foxing, good condition.
