NEW YORK TIMES, Oct. 26, 1921

* Bat Masterson death (1st report)
* Wild West gunfighter & author

The top of the middle column of page 19 has a great report on one of the legends of the Old West, noting: "BAT MASTERSON DIES AT EDITOR'S DESK" "Sporting Writer and Last of Old time Western Gun Fighters Was 67" "Bear Indians In Long Siege" "Deputy U.S. Marshal for Southern District of New York Under His Friend, Colonel Roosevelt". This report is quite detailed on his life and takes three-quarters of a column (see). There was a television series titled "Bat Masterson" which ran from 1958 thru 1961.
Complete in 32 pages, light, even toning, minor margin wear, generally very nice.
