Death of a legendary name from the Old West: Bat Masterson... A prescription for beer during Prohibition...

Item # 651688

October 26, 1921

NEW YORK TIMES, Oct. 26, 1921  The top of the middle column of page 19 has a great report on one of the legends of the Old West, noting: "BAT MASTERSON DIES AT EDITOR'S DESK" "Sporting Writer and Last of Old time Western Gun Fighters Was 67" "Bear Indians In Long Siege" "Deputy U.S. Marshal for Southern District of New York Under His Friend, Colonel Roosevelt". This report is quite detailed on his life and takes three-quarters of a column (see). There was a television series titled "Bat Masterson" which ran from 1958 thru 1961.
Complete in 32 pages, nice condition.

Item from Catalog 273 (released for August, 2018)...
