THE GENTLEMAN'S MAGAZINE, London, April, 1792 

* Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart death (1st report)

Inside under the "Deaths" column is a brief albeit historic report: "In his 36th year, the celebrated  John Chrysostom Wolfgang Theophillus Mozart, Mastro di Cappela to the Imperial Court of Vienna; whose very early and uncommon musical talents are described by the Hon Daines Barrington, in the "Philosophical Transactions", vol. LX. He was born at Saltzbourg, Jan. 17 1756."
Note: a much more brief report of his death appears in the December, 1791 Gentleman's Magazine.
Also within is "East India Intelligence" which begins: "Government have received dispatches from capt. Edwards, commander of his Majesty's ship Pandora, who was sent out soon after the return of capt. Bligh from the South Seas in search of Christian and other mutineers who ran away with the Bounty armed ship...". (see)
Complete in 104 pages, 5 1/2 by 8 3/4 inches with wide untrimmed margins, full title/contents page featuring an engraving of St. Johns Gate great condition.
