Lou Gehrig's famous speech is one of the most notable & heart-warming events in the annals of baseball history. This issue is from that day and has a article by sportswriter Hy Turkin on page 28 headed: "Hail and Farewell" with illustration of Gehrig. (see) The article is written to Gehrig and suggests to him what to expect on this famous day at the stadium. Only found in this famous NYC tabloid, very rare as such.
Complete with all 32 pages, piece torn away at the top right corner of the front page, small hold near center for the first few pages, generally good.
