THE LONDON CHRONICLE, England, Nov. 18, 1783 

* Loyalists escaping America

Page 2 has a report from New York noting: "...there remained but few of the Loyalists in that city & they were preparing for leaving it in the course of a few days..." and further on: "...General Carleton's address to the Congress in favour of the Loyalists had failed to procure them a favourable reception on the continent, and so intemperate were the body of the people against the Refugees that though it is believed Congress wish to show all further prosecutions, they were unwilling to shew the weakness of the authority by an unavailing attempt to relieve them...".
Eight pages, 8 1/4 by 11 1/4 inches, very nice condition.
