THE NEW YORK TIMES, September 8, 1929

* John Baird - father of television
* TV in it's infancy - inventions

Page XX 14 (near back) has a nice banner headline: "RADIOS TELE-TALKIES CALLED SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENT" with subheads and 3 related photos. (see) A very significant report during the founding of television, an invention which would change not only the worlds of entertainment & communication forever, but society as well. A significant issue for any collector of television history. Always nice to have notable events in history reported in this World famous publication.
Other news, sports and advertisements of the day. Complete in a thick 100+ page Sunday edition, a little irregular along the spine with black residue from disbinding, otherwise very nice.
