THE CIRCULAR, Mount Tom, April 10, 1865  A small size newspaper from the famous Oneida Community in New York, an early "commune" in experimental living. Various religiously-themed content but a bit of reporting of news of the day as well. An interesting title from this interesting community in in upstate New York. 
This issue contains an article titled: "THE END OF THE WAR" which tells of Ulysses S. Grant's victories at Petersburg and Richmond Virginia which led to the surrender of Robert E. Lee.
Complete in eight pages with five tiny binding holes, otherwise in good condition.
