April 10, 1932

THE NEW YORK TIMES, April 10, 1932

* Scottsboro Boys death sentences upheld
* Negroes suspected of attacking 2 white girls
* Alabama Supreme Court decision
* Charles Lindbergh baby kidnapping
* Ransom paid to no avail

Page 27 has a one column heading: "7 DOOMED NEGROES LOSE ALABAMA PLEA" with subheads. (see) Always nice to have notable events in history reported in this World famous publication.
Other news of the day. Complete 1st section only with all 32 pages, this is the rare rag edition that was produced on very high quality newsprint, with a high percentage of cotton & linen content, allowing the issues to remain very white & sturdy into the present. Given the subscription cost, libraries & institutions rather than individuals were the primary subscribers of these high-quality editions. Nice condition.
