THE GENTLEMAN'S MAGAZINE, London, July, 1786  Two pages are taken up with: "The Internal State of America, being a True Description of the Interest & Policy of that Vast Continent, by His Excellency Dr. Benj. Franklin, President of the State of Pennsylvania."
Both plates called for are present, one being a nice foldout map titled: "Chart of the Course of the Don and the Volga Through the Region of the Kosaks" which is in the Volgorad, Russia, vicinity. The other shows: "13 remarkable seals & two curious coins".
Most of a page taken up with: "Conduct of the Ladies of South Carolina, in the Apparently Sinking State of the American Cause in that Province after the Capitulation of Charleston...". Also a review of "An Essay on the Slavery & Commerce of the Human Species".
Near the back among the various news reports is most of a column headed: "America" with datelines from Philadelphia, Frederick's-town, & Charleston (see).
Complete in 92 pages, 5 1/2 by 9 inches, full title/contents page with an engraving of St. John's Gate, very good condition.
