July 10, 1863

NEW YORK TIMES, July 10, 1863

* Robert E. Lee's Southern retreat
* Post Battle of Gettysburg, Penn.

The ftpg. has nice one column headlines from just after the battle of Gettysburg, when the Yankees were chasing General Robert E. Lee & his army back across the Maryland border. They include: "The Retreat Of Lee" "Increased Prospect of Another Great Battle" "Lee Massing the Remnant of His Army on the Antietam Battle Ground" "His Ammunition Believed to be Nearly Exhausted" "The Rebels Driven Back to Antietam Creek" "Over 500 of Their Wagons Destroyed" and more.
Eight pages, minor damp stain in an upper corner, a bit irregular at the blank spine margin, good condition.
