THE TOPEKA DAILY CAPITAL, Kansas, Jan. 31, 1939

* Adolph Hitler calls for Jewish extermination

The first column on the ftpg. is headed: "Hitler Pledges Duce Aid" plus: "Promises Support in Any War Against Fascist Italy" and more. This was one of Hitler's many speeches prior to the outbreak of World War II. This speech in particular was the first time Hitler called for the extermination of the Jewish population, given on the 6th anniversary of his accession to power in Germany. The report carries over to page 9 where is that reference: "...If it should become possible once more to push the peoples into a world war, the result would not be the Bulshevism of the earth but destruction of the Jewish race in Europe,' he said..." with much more (see for portions). An extremely significant newspaper on the history of the Holocaust.
Complete in 14 pages, light toning at the margins, a few small binding holes along the spine, nice condition.
