The front page has an item headed: "An Express Train Held Up" "Two Hundred Shots Exchanged Between The Robbers And The Express Messengers". The report includes: "Train robbers held up the southbound Chicago & Galveston passenger train on the Santa Fe...Just as the train was starting up, after leaving the tank, two masked men jumped upon the engine...The robbers were almost an hour in intimidating the express messengers into submission...It is thought that the robbery was committed by the notorious Dalton gang, for whom large rewards are still standing...". An early report on the Red Rock train robbery in Oklahoma with uncommon mention of the Dalton Gang in the report.
