March 06, 1874

NEW YORK TIMES, March 6, 1874  Page 2 has one-third of a column on: "The Challis-Woodhull Libel" 'A Jury Obtained & The Trial Proceeding" which begins: "The trial of Victoria C. Woodhull, Tennie C. Claflin and James Blood, charged with libeling Luther C. Challis in 'Woodhull & Claflin's Weekly' of the 2nd of November, 1872, was resumed yesterday..." with much more (see). Certainly one of the more noted trials of the era, involving the famous women's rights activists (see the web for more).
Eight pages, browned at the margins, four binding holes near the spine do not affect noted content. Should be handled carefully.
